Media get the go-ahead to report family proceedings

A recent article from the Law Gazette confirms that journalists will be able to report on family court proceedings for the first time as part of a new pilot scheme for the Family Division. The pilot’s aim is to improve transparency and accountability.

Our Partner and Head of Employment, Noelle Heath, said:

“I am pleased to see that our local family court here in Leeds has been chosen as one of three courts undertaking the pilot scheme. I hope the pilot will help to promote public confidence in the family justice system”.

Reporting will be allowed only by accredited journalists and legal bloggers.
