Jobs lost as Greenshires Group Ltd collapses into administration

We are sorry to read reports that the Leicester-based print and packaging firm, Greenshires Group Ltd, has collapsed into administration. This has resulted in the loss of jobs and we have now been contacted by former employees of the company confirming the redundancies. In the company’s latest accounts, which were made up to the end of March 2023, it showed that they employed 53 people at the time.  It is reported that administrators from FRP Advisory were appointed February 23 of this year.

Unfortunately, it is common for administrators to make immediate redundancies, without prior warning or any consultation process. A failure to follow a consultation process could lead to employees being able to claim compensation from an Employment Tribunal of up to 90 days’ pay. Such a claim could be pursued if:

  • 20 or more people were made redundant at the same workplace; and
  • There was no information and consultation process, or it wasn’t carried out correctly prior to making redundancies.

If you have been made redundant and need advice, contact our employment team confidentially now for more information.

There are strict Tribunal deadlines within which to pursue these claims, so you mustn’t delay if you believe you may be affected.
