Morrish Solicitors hits fundraising milestone supporting vulnerable people

Morrish Solicitors has raised more than £51,000 by taking part in a charity campaign over 16 years, helping support vulnerable people around the world.

We first joined the annual campaign, Will Aid in 2002 to volunteer our time and expertise to write wills and, instead of charging our usual fees, invite clients to donate to the campaign.

Will Aid takes place every November and involves solicitors waiving the fee for writing a basic will and instead ask for a donation to Will Aid.

The suggested donation for a basic single will is £100 and £180 for a pair of mirror wills.

These donations are shared between Will Aid’s nine partner charities:

We raised £3,160 for the campaign last year – taking the total amount we have raised over 16 years participating in Will Aid to £51,603.

Tom Morrish, Senior Partner, said:

“We are extremely proud to have worked with Will Aid over the last 16 campaigns, helping to support charities who work tirelessly to support vulnerable people, including those impacted by conflict.

“The campaign is a great opportunity for people to make their will while raising awareness and money for good causes.

“Everyone at Morrish Solicitors LLP takes great pleasure in knowing we’ve raised more than £51,000 for nine important charities.”

The generosity of solicitors who have taken part in Will Aid since it launched in 1988 has helped raise more than £22 million for charity.

Jon Jacques, chair of Will Aid, said:

“Year after year we are blown away by the generosity of solicitors who choose to volunteer their time and expertise to raise money for Will Aid.

“Our nine partner charities rely heavily on donations. The money raised during this campaign will provide vital support to help continue their life-changing work around the world.”
