Jobs lost as Saietta Group PLC enters administration

We are have recently seen reports that jobs have been lost at the Northamptonshire-based global engineering firm, Saietta Group PLC, following confirmation of administrators. of EY-Parthenon’s Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy team were appointed joint administrators on Monday 4 March.

Saietta Group has 54 employees based mainly at its head office in Silverstone. Saietta Sunderland Plant employs 33 employees based in Houghton-le-Spring, Sunderland.

Unfortunately, it is common for administrators to make immediate redundancies, without prior warning or any consultation process. A failure to follow a consultation process could lead to employees being able to claim compensation from an Employment Tribunal of up to 90 days’ pay. Such a claim could be pursued if:

  • 20 or more people were made redundant at the same workplace; and
  • There was no information and consultation process, or it wasn’t carried out correctly prior to making redundancies.

If you have been made redundant and need advice, contact our employment team confidentially now for more information.

There are strict Tribunal deadlines within which to pursue these claims, so you mustn’t delay if you believe you may be affected.
