Promotions, New Appointments and Team Updates

We’re pleased to announce that Noelle Heath has been promoted to partner, with effect from 1 October 2022. Noelle has been with Morrish since 1993 and is Head of Family Law, specialising in divorce, family breakdown and child-related cases.

Noelle said:

“I am delighted to be joining the partnership at Morrish Solicitors. I am looking forward to taking an active part in the firm’s progressive future and continuing to lead and grow the family department.”

David Sorensen, Managing Partner commented:

“The partners and I are delighted to congratulate Noelle on her very well-deserved promotion. Noelle has led the development of our family and divorce work, expanding it to the stage where we will now also be seeking a newly qualified solicitor to join us as a family lawyer to grow our family team further.”

We are also thrilled to welcome two new members of staff to the team. Frankie Murgatroyd joins the employment team as a Legal Assistant, having just completed her Law LLB at the University of Cambridge.

Frankie said of her appointment:

“I became interested in law because it is so varied and there are so many diverse areas. I applied to Morrish because it seemed like a friendly law firm and I liked how rooted in Yorkshire it is. I am excited to start my first proper legal role and learn more about the area of employment law!”

Chloe Tinsley has also joined the firm as a Solicitor Apprentice in the employment team as a school-leaver, having recently completed her A Levels at The Rodillian Academy in Lofthouse.

Chloe commented:

“I became interested in law after I studied it alongside English Literature and History. After getting in contact with Morrish regarding work experience, I made the decision to go for their Degree Level Apprenticeship opportunity and the team has welcomed me from the start. Morrish was the first option for me as they involved me in recent cases and allowed me to shadow partners, giving me a great feel for a hopeful future as an apprentice solicitor.”

As part of their ongoing training with the firm a number of staff have moved teams: Erin Garnham, Trainee Solicitor, joins the employment team; Lawrence Ofori, Trainee Solicitor, Starr Thompson Trainee Solicitor and Lucy Wilson, Graduate Solicitor Apprentice join the personal injury team; and Ruth Grant, Trainee Solicitor, joins the medical negligence team.

David Sorensen added:

“The partners, all the staff at Morrish and I extend a warm welcome to our new members of staff. We are pleased that our mentoring scheme with The Rodillian Academy has continued and we hope that all new members of the team, and those who have been in training with us for a while, continue to find their time with Morrish positive, informative and enjoyable. We pride ourselves on being an open and friendly firm which takes its staff wellbeing seriously.”
