How early rehabilitation can help you

If you make a personal injury claim with us, in addition to helping you get the compensation you deserve, we will consider whether you need early assistance with specialist medical care and rehabilitation (rehab). Rehab can mean medical treatment such as physiotherapy but can also mean support to help you return to work and the ability to be independent around the house.

The aim of rehab is to provide treatment and support so that you make the quickest and best possible recovery. In serious injury cases, this might include provision of medical equipment, accommodation adaptations and help with returning to work.

Rehab can involve appointing a specialist rehab case manager to assess your injuries and the impact they are having on you and your day to day life in order to put in place a programme of treatment and support for you.

It can also involve funding for private medical treatment and medical equipment aids recommended by your treating doctors.

We will always ensure that you remain central to the rehab process and will speak to you to find out out what you want to achieve and what is important to you. Rehab works best with your input and with the support of your loved ones. Any rehab programme will be planned to ensure it works alongside any NHS treatment you are having in order to optimise your recovery.

We understand that appropriate rehab to improve your immediate quality of life whilst a claim is ongoing can be just as important as the compensation at the end of the claim and will work closely with your rehab manager to ensure you have the best specialist care that you need at an early stage in your claim.
