Euramax Solutions Ltd enters administration
We are now seeing reports that the Barnsley-based windows and doors manufacturer, Euramax Solutions Ltd, has now entered administration. Chris Ratten and Gareth Harris of RSM Restructuring Advisory LLP were appointed as joint administrators to Euramax Solutions Ltd on 22 February 2024.
Unfortunately, it is common for administrators to make immediate redundancies, without prior warning or any consultation process. A failure to follow a consultation process could lead to employees being able to claim compensation from an Employment Tribunal of up to 90 days’ pay. Such a claim could be pursued if:
- 20 or more people were made redundant at the same workplace; and
- There was no information and consultation process, or it wasn’t carried out correctly prior to making redundancies.
