Unite 5-O Dragon Boat team
On the 22nd of May some of your union team entered a boat in the Dragon boat race at Roundhay Park to help raise money for Martin House Children’s Hospice, much to our surprise and everyone else’s we managed to finish 23rd out of 48 teams and even managed to win one of our races.
But more importantly we managed to raise at least £1759.
We would like to thank everybody who came along to offer their support and make it a really fun day
I would like to thank those shop stewards that gave up their Sunday and also to Dave Pugh for managing the BBQ and also Ian McDonald for supplying the colourful shirts.
I would also like to thank Morrish Solicitors for lending us Adam & Vanessa for our team who stuck with it all day.
