Inspiration:
Sport has always played a major role in my life. It’s perhaps not surprising then that I’m so competitive, winning is a real inspiration. Ever since I was a little boy playing football I have always wanted to win. I think that’s why I inevitably ended up in litigation rather than other areas of the law. It is extremely satisfying to win for clients, without a doubt.
Year of qualification:
1989
Specialises in:
Commercial and civil litigation, to include contractual dispute resolution, construction disputes, professional negligence claims, debt collection, landlord & tenant and property disputes, consumer advice and personal injury work.
Career with Morrish Solicitors:
I joined the practice in 1993 with a broad range of experience in litigation, and initially I specialised in trade union personal injury claims. I maintain my trade union links, but now head the firms Commercial Department.
Interests:
All sports but in particular golf, football, cricket, fell walking and skiing.
Heroes:
Nick Faldo. As a nation, we’re always very quick to criticise our sportsmen, women and our sports teams if they don’t do well. Then, when we get someone who becomes the World’s no. 1 by sheer hard work and determination, we criticise him for being such a determined, single-minded character! In fact his achievement should be an inspiration to anyone as it shows what hard work and determination can achieve.
