Inspiration:
At work by colleagues and those of my fellow professionals who know their area of expertise in the law, and can apply their knowledge in a meaningful and practical way for the benefit of their clients. Outside work I derive enormous enjoyment from travelling around Britain and Europe, mostly by train and bicycle. Switzerland is probably my favourite destination.
Year of qualification:
1977
Specialises in:
Law, Commercial Property in particular.
Career with Morrish Solicitors:
I came as a trainee in 1974 on a salary of £15 per week. My father had owned a small practice Waite, Kitson and Rigg which was acquired by Morrish & Co in 1963 following my father’s death at a young age. I became partner in 1982 and was a partner for many years. I am the only person in the firm to have worked in all three of the firms offices. I am now a consultant with the firm, working across the board in property matters. I particularly enjoy helping train younger staff. I learn a lot from them. The firm will remain in good hands.

Heroes:
The people I know who opt for and find contentment in a relatively simple lifestyle, family values and concern for the environment.
