Inspiration:

Seeing people achieve things where others have said ‘You can’t do that, it’s impossible.’ I believe that with hard work, you can achieve your goals. Some people are quite defeatist, but I like to think that if you put in the work, you can achieve anything. I’m the first person in my family to go to University, and that has been the result of my own hard work. I get inspired from achieving my aspirations. It also gives me great satisfaction knowing that I have been able to help someone else out, made someone else happy.

Qualifications:

LLB (Huddersfield, 2006). LPC (Leeds Met, 2008). I am a first year trainee currently working in the Personal Injury Department. I am due to complete my training contract in 2010.

Joined the firm 2008.

Interests:

I enjoy playing and watching sport. I am the captain of my local football team in Cleckheaton. I have also supported Leeds United my whole life although at the moment it is something I get stick for!! Playing with the Morrish & Co football lads on a Thursday night can also be good fun!

Heroes:

My parents and grandparents. One granddad, had so many jobs, just trying to find a way to pay the bills. He started off as a scrap merchant, and when times were hard in that industry he tried his hand as a fishmongor, then ran an ice-cream van! Now thanks to his hard work alongside my dad and uncles, we have a family business which was started up from nothing. My other granddad was a keen artist as a child. He entered a competition and won. However, because his family were poor, he had to give his prize money to his mother to help pay for the bills. Family are really important to me. I also admire any entrepreneurs who have become millionaires through their own hard work. In sport, I suppose you have to admire Olympians such as Steve Redgrave and Michael Phelps who train hard every day just for the chance to win the gold medal every four years at the Olympics.
