Inspiration:
My parents have been a great inspiration to me, neither of them had a lot of education when they were younger, but this did not stop them from achieving their career goals. Career-wise, I believe strongly in access to justice for everyone, regardless of their financial situation. One of the reasons I chose law was so that I could participate in making this a reality for everyone. It is what gives me job satisfaction at the end of a day.
Qualifications:
LLB (Coventry) 2006, LPC (Sheffield) 2008.
Specialises in:
Personal injury. What I like most about personal injury law is that you’re dealing with people who really need your help, they need a professional advocate. Similarly, I enjoy family law and private client work because, again, you are dealing with important personal matters that make a big difference in people’s lives.
Career with Morrish Solicitors:
I was employed as a Legal Assistant for 18 months between early 2006 and late 2007, and returned after my LPC.
Memberships:
The Law Society
Interests:
Socialising, spending time with friends and family. I love international travel, and before I began my degree I spent 6 months in South Africa. I love seeing new places and experiencing new cultures. I like scuba-diving and while in South Africa I became PADI qualified. I also enjoy keeping fit going to the cinema and reading novels.
Heroes:
Nelson Mandela. When I was in South Africa, I read his autobiography. It really touched me that after 27 years in prison he’s still a very happy man and still believes in peace. He made me realise what a difference a person can make and I think this is very important to remember.
