Inspired by:

My parents, for the fact they’ve worked hard and the way they’ve brought up their family.  The achievements of my family members are  all due  to my parents and what they have done for us.  And of course there are my own children, who are what really keep me going. 

As for inspiration at work, I come into contact with people who’ve been treated  badly at work and I don’t think the law in general compensates for the very real stress and anxiety they go through. I’m not talking about compensate in terms of money, I mean the damage that has already been done to them. It gives me some satisfaction knowing that I can contribute to them being able to draw a line under that experience, which helps them to move on with their lives. That’s a positive highlight for me.

All areas of employment law and discrimination. I have a particular interest in discrimination claims (sex, race and disability), human rights in the workplace and data protection.  I have extensive experience of unfair dismissal, whistle blowing, TUPE and wages claims. I have dealt with cases in the Employment Appeal Tribunal as well as many Employment Tribunals.
